Fito Gallardo tops Modified Madness at Sandia Speedway

Both Fito and Jake were in action at the Sandia Speedway in Albuquerque, NM for the track's $1,500 to win feature race. Jake won his heat from the outside of the front row and Fito won his from 6th, setting both drivers up with good starting spots in the night's feature race.

In the feature, Jake started 3rd and quickly raced out front into the lead and tried to drive off, while Fito started 6th and quickly made his way into the top five and shortly thereafter into second behind Jake. Jake looked as if he was going to run off with the win until a mechanical failure ended his night early and allowed Fito to take command and drive away with the win for his efforts.
