Gallardo Racing rockets into 2024 with Wild West Shootout

All three Gallardo cars were in USRA Modified action during the opening weekend of the Wild West Shootout at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM this past weekend to kick off their 2024 racing seasons.

Saturday night, Fito raced from 6th up to 3rd in his heat race and then started 10th and finished 7th in the night's feature race. Jake raced from 3rd up to 2nd in his heat race and then charged from his 16th starting spot in the feature to slip by his dad and cross the finish line with a 6th place run on the opening night. Peyton ran sixth in his heat race before finishing 15th in the b-main in his Modified debut at the WWS.

Sunday, Fito won his qualifying heat race from the outside of the front row and then after starting 6th in the feature, he unfortunately fell out of competition and was officially credited with a 24th place finish. Jake's Sunday night was a bit of a struggle, where he raced from 10th to 7th in his heat race and 9th to 5th in the b-main, missing the feature field by one spot. Peyton ended up finishing 7th in his heat race and then crossed the finish line with an 11th place finish in the b-main to cap off the weekend.
