Jake Gallardo ends WWS with three Top-10 finishes

Fito and Jake wrapped up the week long Wild West Shootout mini-series at the Vado Speedway Park this past week with the final four events, starting on Wednesday night. (Tyler Rinken photo)

Wednesday, Fito won his heat race and ran sixth in the feature, while Jake also won his heat, and after running in the top five early on, he fell out of the feature, ending his night early.

After an off night on Thursday, the team was back in action on Friday night, where Fito ran sixth in his heat, won the b-main and then fell out of the feature before the checkered, but Jake won his heat for the second night in a row and then proceeded to race forward from 7th to finish 3rd in the main.

Saturday night, Fito raced from 6th up to 3rd in his heat and then didnt finish the feature for the second night in a row, while Jake won his heat for the third night in a row and ran 10th in the feature.

And in the Sunday finale, Fito ran third in his heat and advanced from 8th to 5th in the feature, while Jake raced from 10th to 4th in his heat and then came home with his third straight top ten finish, crossing the finish line in 7th.
