Fito notches Top-10 USMTS finish at Rocket Raceway Park

Fito and Jake both made the trek to the Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas for the 2-day season opener for the USMTS. 76 Modified drivers signed for action in what would be one of the strongest fields of the season.

Friday, Jake had an issue his heat race, forcing him to pull off and burying him deep in one of the b-mains. From his 21st starting spot in the b, he rallied forward to place 11th, but missed a transfer spot into the night's feature. Saturday night, he ran seventh in his heat race and unfortunately missed a transfer spot from the b-main by one position, ending his weekend early.

Fito was able to win his heat race on Friday night and then ran inside the top ten during the feature all 40-laps long, crossing the finish line with a 9th place run. Saturday, he ran fifth in his heat race, but unfortunately fell out of the b-main, ending his weekend early. Both drivers will be in action at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM for the track's annual Winter Meltdown this Friday and Saturday nights.
