Gallardo Racing invades Vado for Winter Meltdown

Fito, Jake and a third Gallardo, Peyton, were in action this past weekend at the annual Winter Meltdown at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM.

Friday night, Fito ran fifth in his heat race and then charged forward from his 14th starting spot to a 4th place finish when the checkered flag flew. Jake ran fourth in his heat and then proceeded to also move forward in the feature, racing from 11th up to a solid 5th place finish. Peyton made his racing debut in the B-Mod division and after starting at the tail of his heat race, he ran 7th and the worked his way forward in the feature event to cross the line with a 12th place finish after starting 18th.

Saturday, Fito won his heat race from 7th and started on the pole for the feature event. He ran inside the top five all event long, crossing the line in 4th. Jake raced from 5th up to 2nd in his heat race and then battled for the lead in the main event, finishing a solid second when the checkered flag flew. Peyton again started at the tail of his heat race and finished 8th, then for the second night in a row, started at the tail of the feature and raced his way forward to finish 17th.
