Fito Gallardo races to Modified victory at Vado

Fito and Jake were both in action on Saturday at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM for the track's annual First Responder Appreciation Night. Jake was in action in the Mods and Stock Cars, while Fito competed in the Modified division and the Super Truck class. (Adam Wisner photo)

Jake raced from 6th up to 3rd in his Modified heat race before starting the feature from his 8th starting spot and was able to race forward to finish a solid second. In the Stock Car, he ran third in his heat race before starting 14th in the feature and racing into the top five before catching on fire and retiring from the feature early.

Fito raced from 7th up to 2nd in his Modified heat race before starting 8th in the main and charging forward to win the feature for his efforts. In the Super Truck, he started 8th in his heat race and won it before starting 13th in the feature and working his way up to finish 3rd.
