Fito Gallado tops Modified Challenge at Alien Motor Speedway

Both Fito and Jake entered the Super Truck vs. Stock Car Challenge at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM on Friday night with Fito winning his qualifying heat race from the outside of the front row and Jake advancing from 7th up to 4th in his heat. In the feature, Jake started 6th and raced his way forward to a runner up finish, while Fito started on the front row but had issues late in the going and was credited with an 11th place finish.

Saturday night, Jake entered the Super Truck vs. Stock Car Challenge at Vado and Fito took his Modified up to the Alien Motor Speedway in Roswell, NM for the track's Open Wheel Modified Challenge event. Jake ran third in his heat race to open the night and then started 7th in the feature, but had to go to the tail after a visit to the work area. From the tail, he blasted his way back through traffic to cross the finish line in second. Fito completed the clean sweep at Alien, winning his heat race from third and winning the $1,000 main event from his 7th starting spot.
