March 27, 2021 - Gallardo's attend King of America at Humboldt

It was an up and down weekend for both the G17 and J17 as there were 91 Modifieds in attendance for the weekend.

1Friday, Fito ran tenth in his heat race and 12th in the b-main, while Jake ran second in his heat, but then fell out of the b-main after starting on the pole. Saturday's day show saw Fito run fourth in his heat and then fell out of the b. Jake raced from 5th to 4th in his heat and then crossed the finish line 6th in the b.

Saturday's night show's results saw Fito run 7th in the heat and 13th in the b, while Jake ran second in his heat race and qualified for the $20,000 to win feature event. During the 60-lapper, he raced from 20th into the top 15 before falling out of the race before the checkered flew.

March 20, 2021 - Jake rallies to finish 11th in Vado Speedway Park reopening
1Both Fito and Jake were in action on Saturday night as their hometown track - the Vado Speedway Park, in Vado, New Mexico reopened for the first time in 14 months due to the COVID-19 statewide shutdown in New Mexico.

Both drivers were behind the wheel of USRA B-Mods for the track's opening night. 

Fito, in a Pete Vargas-owned #777 started sixth in the opening heat race of the night and quickly raced to the lead and won it, earning the pole for the feature event, but unfortunately mechanical issues just before the main kept him from starting the feature.

Jake, driving a Candy Hansen-owned #18g also started 6th in his heat and raced his way up to finish 2nd, putting himself sixth in the feature lineup. He drove to the front quickly at the drop of the green and raced out front for the majority of the event until contact with a lapped car cut a tire and he was forced into the hot pit area. He restarted at the tail and was able to race up to finish 11th.

March 6, 2021 - Gallardo's attend USMTS doubleheader at RPM Speedway

1Friday night Fito started 2nd and won his qualifying head race earning the Sybesma Pole Award for the main event. Jake started third in his heat race and raced to a second-place finish. In the feature, Fito rolled from the pole and ran inside the top five for the first portion of the event until he unfortunately got into the backstretch wall causing right front damage and ending his night. Jake started 9th in the main and ran inside the top ten early, but he, also fell out of the race before the checkered.

Saturday, Fito started 10th and finished 9th in his heat race then started 13th and ran 11th in the b-main. Jake started 5th and raced up to 3rd in his heat before winning the b-main from the pole and qualifying for the 15th starting spot in the night's 50-lap feature event. In the feature, he rolled off from the inside of the 8th row and worked his way forward into the top ten, crossing the finish line with a 10th place run.
