October 31, 2020 - Gallardo's compete in USRA tripleheader in Kansas
1Fito and Jake make their way to Kansas over the weekend for the final USRA Modified national points weekend of the year. The MODster Mash, as the weekend was dubbed, featured a pair of $10,000 to win events on Friday and Saturday at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS and at the 81 Speedway in Park City, KS and a $5,000 to win event at the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, KS on Sunday night.

1Friday night was the 5th annual Grant Junghans Memorial, paying $10,002 to win in memory of former USMTS Rookie of the Year Grant Junghans. Fito got caught up in an opening lap crash during heat race action, which ended his run, while Jake won his heat from the outside of the front row. In the feature, Jake started 7th and raced inside the top ten early in the event but fell out due to rough track conditions.

Saturday at 81, the event paid $10,031 on Halloween and both drivers were once again in action. Fito ran 6th in his heat race, while Jake finished 4th in his. Fito then raced from 8th to 3rd in his b-main and Jake won his b, both qualifying for the feature event. In the feature, Fito was credited with a 22nd place finish and Jake crossed the line in 14th. Sunday, Jake won his heat from third and qualified for the redraw, which put him on the pole for the night's finale. Fito had to work a little harder as he raced from 7th to 5th in his heat, then from 4th to 2nd in the b, putting him 17th in the feature starting lineup. In the feature, Jake settled into the second spot early, but ended up cutting a left rear tire, forcing him into the work area and to restart at the tail. When the checkered flag flew, Fito finished 17th and Jake 19th.
