May 30, 2020 - Jake Gallardo Bags Two-Win Weekend in Lonestar State
Fito and Jake made several starts over the weekend in the state of Texas. Friday night, at the West Texas Speedway in Lubbock, TX, Fito  started 7th in his USRA Modified heat race and came home fourth. This qualified him for the 9th starting spot in the main event, which he worked his way forward to come home 2nd in the main. Jake also started 7th in his heat and was able to advance forward to finish 5th. His fifth place finish in the heat qualified him for the 13th starting spot in the main. During the feature, Jake quickly worked his way forward and was able to complete the 13th to 1st run, picking up his first feature win of the season. (Pole Position photo)

Saturday, the duo made their way to the Heart-o-Texas Speedway in Elm Mott, Tx for a TOMS Series event. Jake started on the outside of the front row in his heat race and won it, then ran second in the dash, which put him on the outside of the front row in the feature. In the feature, Jake took off and ran away with the feature, racing to his first ever TOMS victory and his second checkered flag of the weekend. Fito suffered an issue in the heat race, then charged from 12th up to third in the b-main, qualifying for the main evnet. May 13, 2020 - Fito Gallardo Collects $1,000 West Texas Crude Nationals Payday
1Fito and Jake both made their way to the West Texas Speedway in Lubbock, TX for the Texas Crude Nationals featuring USRA Modifieds. Fito raced to a heat race win earlier in the program, which earned him the third starting spot in the night's $1,000 to win main event. At the start of the feature, Fito dove to the inside line and stole the second spot away early, setting his sites on the leader. Once he moved in on the top spot, he was able to wrestle the lead away and drive off into the night to pick up the impressive feature win. Jake ran second in his heat race to start the night and then after starting 10th in the main, he slipped back outside the top fifteen on the opening lap, but rallied his way back forward to recover to a solid sixth place finish.
